Today, is a very special day my mother's birthday. Happy birthday mom!! I am grateful for the care and the love, most importantly doing the wonderful things together.
The painting,"Wisconsin Point Lighthouse," is one of my few oils, and we celebrated Marge's birthday when visiting Lake Superior that day. It was a very windy day and as you can see the waves were churning in the bay.
The lighthouse has to withstand all the weather and storms so there are times of roughness yet calm. She stands tall protecting the ships coming into the bay, guiding, helping, she is a rock. Her colors are flying high. The American flag, red, white and blue for all his people to see and remember.
On this special day, whether it's your birthday or not, Christmas celebrations continue as we celebrated our 3RD Advent candle lighting on Sunday. His coming, what joys to behold. Peace and love everywhere.
