As we approach Thanksgiving, here in Wisconsin, the deer season arrives for a nine day gun season. Both our boys are outdoorsmen and enjoy deer hunting.
A few years ago, our son Chris and a friend went to Illinois to bow hunt trophy whitetail bucks. Not all trips turn out successful. Big bucks didn't get big because not being smart wasn't a part of their ways. Chris was successful in his bow hunting on this trip, harvesting a 230 LB, field dressed, 9 point buck.
Today's painting, called, "Chris's Buck" is a moment in time of his successful hunt. This hunting season, I wish all hunters a safe journey, safety first, a good hunting experience whether you get a deer or not enjoy your time together with friends and family.
