Today's blog is about the buffalo, so few are left today, like so many other animals that have gone before us.
When I see the buffalo it's very good, I love them and they come close to me and I enjoy their essence.
Today's painting is only an underpainting a beginning, part I, and as I paint each day I'll post my progress. I have painted a few buffalo but rather than paint the whole body, I felt that this buffalo portrait might convey his story, it might just parallel people too. When whether animal or people we are different, those differences are there for a good reason and by destroying because of the differences makes for a sad day.
