Good morning, afternoon, or evening, your pleasure,
Today's painting is from the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in March a few years ago, the sun was not quite up and the moon shone brightly in the west giving the hils a warm redish glow. This is a joyful work and can add to anyones decor, at home, or cabin, or business and for less than $100 framed.
This time of the year in the badlands is unique, the park itself only has one road open going from south to north and the easterly roads are closed until late April early May. About every couple of years before we retired we'd travel to North Dakota to see this full moon glowing on the hills and snow covered ground, it was a sign that winter was finishing soon, with temperatures in the 50's-60's and some of the valleys, out of the wind, were close to 70. We would sit on the barren hills and enjoy this first strong sun, so warm, felt so good after such a long time indoors. As we've aged we've learned that the sun is very special and it's warmth and light are abundantly welcomed.
Enjoy, "the badlands in March", if you want we can ship two day, in time for Valentine's day celebration on Saturday.
