Looking below when flying in an airplane is, just for a moment awesome, we actually can see what the eagle sees when he flys high above. Today's work is an acrylic painting called "high above" and is a bald eagle in a wise pose. Not alarmed or excited but confident in his creator's care. Today I am thinking about the great osprey, and the great abilty for the osprey to fish in the waters, how is this possible that such a big bird can go into the deep water and pull out a 1-2 LB fish and fly to feed the young? As men we fish but we are land bound.
My father showed me a great osprey years ago and I have never forgotten. I'll be doing a bird series over the next month in February, so keep posted and enjoy, this is a good time.
