Good morning, it's about 810 PM tonight, but somewhere it's morning and that is my favorite time in the day.
In my new painting, "a loving light," two sandhill cranes are flying out of Crex Meadows on their way for a long day at the office, earning their daily bread. Getting stronger for the upcoming migration is no small feat. It'd be like taking all your college exams in one day, can you imagine how tired you'd be.
Both of these cranes know that being together is the first order of the day, and during the day they care for and keep each other safe. Flying with the buddy system is very important, accidents happen even for sandhills there are dangers and hazards during flight.
I'm celebrating all the couples making their way with loving kindness and respect. May your day be blessed, and the world made more beautiful through your expressed love for each other.
I hope you enjoy all the color and sense the closeness of these sacred birds. Peace be yours.
