All Blessing Flow
On or about this time of the year, I start to reflcct on many of this past year's events, from my art work, to my family, my community and my friends. This year, so much has happened to all people near and far ...no one has much of an easier time these days and God reigns mightly. His will be done on earth as it is in heaven...no questions asked...only when I look up do I see.
I painted this painting in reverance to God...where all things come from...The Lord is our shepard. The love the Lord has for Abraham, Iaasac, and Jacob and David and all his people.
Our family wish you and your family the best Thanksgiving and peace to each of you on this wonderful day..

"Mystery" a horse by the name of"

Mystery
To all horse lovers...this is for you...and all of you who love the wild...to save the small herds that remain in America today.

I dedicate this painting to all the wild horses everywhere, especially in Theodore Roosevelt National Park....this park was an idea ahead of it's time and now with maturity things have changed greatly. It saddens me to think these beautiful and for the most part free horses in the wilds of TRNP...are being culled out and maybe the mares will be made sterile never to raise young again. I can not think of a day that eliminating these horses  makes sense...so please get involved in your National Park Community and stay involved...it matters greatly and not just because of the wild horse scenario, other species are being impacted as well.

Thank you for your support during this year and thanks for your great comments they are appreciated a great deal. Have a glorious Thanksgiving and help many with less....God Bless!!!

"An ancient tradition"

Traditions
To our Father, and yes to everyone.....have you been on the mountain lately....praying solomonly with reverence...and just listening to your heart and soul...speaking to God in openess and with compassion for his great earth and Kingdom come...on earth as it is in Heaven. In our family we celebrate Thanksgiving together and we share with our fellow man and those who have less in some ways and more in other ways. We pray for your family, your friends and neighbors that they too will for this day be glad, lifting their spirits higher.
The painting I am sharing this afternoon is called "an ancient tradition" and is of sandhill cranes flying from Crex Meadows as the sun is rising in the East so colorful and beautiful. Each day is like no other day...each day is unique...alive and not one thing that God has made is identical today compared with all the past days...it is a new beginning...and as I age I see how Holy the Lord's creation is...the great love and care in every small detail of earth...nothing was left to chance...it is all his divine creation. Faith that is the substance of our lives...for when we breathe the air it sustains our bodies in every way...and the food and water we drink...is all life giving. So these birds they can't go to the grocery to buy some food...God provides...sometimes using man and his crops...but without God's seed there would be no crops or food...what a gloriful creation his seed is...and the seed of his people...and they come and they multiply...filling all the earth.
Long ago, our first settlers in America were not prepared and when their food stores were down the American Indian came to help....and to share in his bounty...to save those that might perish and they lived and went on to prosper....look at the blessings in America today. all from those earlier seeds of kindness long ago...so in America today our American Indian brothers are too, today in need of help as our grandfathers were long ago. You might not know but many groups are helping where they can...contact them and your support even $5 is a blessing and collectively they add up and help provide the sustance to support them in times of great need. Fast for two days and from the money saved  pass this along to the less fortunate as God's blessing...no one is going to suffer and your help means a lot to others. Why have the government spend tax dollars...we are the people helping other people that comes first...no one left behind.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving...today I'm painting a beautiful wild stallion named,"midnight".from the wild horses in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora,ND.....and this portrait, like most of my animal portraits is worthy of the time spent to recaputre their awesome beauty. This painting teaches me that a horse is not just a horse, but is filled with God's living spirit and in his wild kingdom he knows no fear only to perpetuate his young and keep" an old tradition" alive and well for many generations to come.

The Old Buffalo
Today's work is about the days of old and the ancient buffalo. In this painting this bull is the top male buffalo in his herd and has a steady gaze over the herd. I think about the great day of the buffalo and how few remain today.
Enjoy your day...winter reminds us of the cold weather that lies ahead...dress warm and enjoy your Thanksgiving...peace be yours..

Happy In WI
A few years ago the great gray owls came to northern WI and Mn to find better feeding areas, in Canada their food suppy was very low. During this time my wife Marge and I went north to photograph these very beautiful birds and from this experience I have enjoyed painting a unique oil painting to remember this experience...I call this painting..."happy in WI"and the birds were saved once again.
This painting is available on my website www.jimspringett.com, and I have this on ebay if you go online in the search box print jim springett and my art for sale will be displayed...I have about 10 on the ebay sale site.
If you have some comments and suggestions please write, your comments are welcome. Have a pleasant day...
