This year, I'd like to include more time on the easel to include pet lover's paintings....commissions of their favorite animal. If you are local, and I can come to get photos of your beloved animal that is better. I can use a good photo from you too and informnation pertaining to your animal...these 3 are portraits of animals that are done in oil on stretched canvas...so once you have the finished painting you may go to your framer or perhaps find frames made in this size at local stores...8x10, 9 x 12 or 11 x 14. These are all common sizes you can find frames if not custom framing. My pricing is reasonable, in the above 3 sizes, here is the prices for original oil painting on stretched canvas is $49, $59, and $69...the shipping is by Priority Mail, USPO 2-3 day delivery, insured to cover your purchase...that fee is an additional $6.55. I want to honor this special offer for all 2010...satisfaction guaranteed, work that is not what you want, your money will be returned immediately. Here are 3 examples of fun animal portraits:

Every year, the fall migartion comes in mid November just before Thanksgiving. The trumpeter swans are gathered and can be seen in pockets of a dozen or more signifying the time is close for their departure to warmer climes for about 4 months. This painting called,"in sync" is a mating pair of trumpeter swans in Crex Meadows in flight in perfect sync...both steping on their left foot about to go airborne. These swans had just arrived in Crex Meadows, near Grantsburg,WI with the water still partially frozen toward the end of March. We're only about 60 days from their sweet return...and the sign of spring coming. Enjoy your new year's celebration...keeping in mind the swans will return...Jimmy Springett-artist

Loyalty Abounds

To all dog lovers,

At this time in the year, as I prepare for Christmas my mind switches gears to what beauty can I paint for Marge...Christmas is near....what is simple, yet speaks to each of us and will challenge my painting skills? The answer was simple...our youngest black lab..."Bubba."  He is our Thanksgiving dog in November 2006...after we lost "Buddy" , our 1 year old black lab on the first night we moved to our new home in Webster. Buddy was very special...and a very loving dog...his loss created much heart ache and I still have days that make me pause. Bubba is healing and loving, taking away our heart ache black lab...his mission if he accepts is to love and to heal two very broken hearts...to our amazement he not only accepted his new home...he is a very loving dog that keeps Marge and I very busy not sitting around...his temperment is sort of stingy...he loves those misplaced socks and underwear or gloves not put away. So on this most beautiful Christmas, "Bubba" is for Marge's and my heart of hearts for all time.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a loving home...peace to each of you...Jimmy

On a Branch
Newness in a wildlife setting is like the great grey owl...these beautiful birds travel long distances to find food. We spent time In Atkien County photographing these owls. Both WI and Mn had many sighting. This painting is also listed on ebay for those of you who enjoy bidding...have a great day...

In The Meadow
At this time in the year, we look for snow in our world...but for some reason the weather has been unseaonally warm...most of our lakes and stream are open with little or no ice...and many of the migrating birds are still with us. The propane gas usage is down so we might be able to get this tank to last longer before filling again...LP so simple yet pretty close it seems to the price of gold. We experienced a calm Thanksgiving...lots of family....good food....and a sunny day. The friday after Thanksgiving a lot of people shopping for the coming Christmas celebration and lights are going up as well as Christmas trees and the little children listen to the story of the birth of our Lord just before bed....the gifts are a symbol to one another of our love of baby Jesus and his coming to earth. Many nations and many tribes recognize Christmas and others do not...in this day we wish all people a blessed Christmas...peace to you.

Today's painting is an oil of a grey wolf in the green grass in a meadow...lots of colorful expressions.
