Cygnets, and what is a parent?

A parent is a guardian for life eternal...no beginning and no end, a shelter in the storm. This mother swan is close to her young and watches  even after they are grown...a parent is ever vigilant, and most of all loving. Have you hugged your children today? A hug is an outward gesture of your inner feelings...keep hugging...and widen your circle...love one another.

" reflections"

Painting birds is very enjoyable, this pair of very beautiful Canada goose are standing on the icey shoreline in mid March after having returned from their long migratory flight, back to Crex Meadows in Grantsburg,WI to spend their spring and summer months raising their next brood of young. The foilage on the tress is so beautiful with white birch, oak, popal, and many smaller schrubs dispalying all the shades of green an artist could ever want for painting. It's a special time so if you enjoy spring spend some time seeing this miracle after a long and cold winter. Enjoy your day.

Redpoll bird

The wintering birds in the northland decorate the landscape and in todays painting I have painted a colorful portriat of a male redpoll bird, part of the boreal family. This painting is on a 6" x 6" hard board and the hardboard is mounted on a natural oak cradle box, and clear varnish finished. The mounted painting can be placed on a flat surface or on your wall.  If you go on www.ebay.com and in the search box type my name, jim springett, my work will be listed. The bid process on ebay is very simple and can be fun if you have not tried before. If you have questions or would like to comment if you scroll down there is a comment link you may select. Have a good weekend, happy spring days.

" on the water"

Today's blessings are all around us, even with problems, keeping the faith and doing one's best is a good way to solve our own, and if our own problems are solved we live more in the moment and in love with our family and friends.  I thank all my friends and family for their love and devotion.
In today's painting, an original oil painting " on the water" this sandhill lives in Crex Meadows in Grantsburg,WI. If you have not visited Crex this might be a good day trip when in the area.

" on golden pond "

Today's painting is an original oil painting on a 9" x 12" masonite HB, using a special coating to enhance the colors. The trumpeter swans are nesting in Crex Meadows in Grantsburg,WI, the trumpeter swans are an endangered species making a great come back in NW Wisconsin in this special bird refuge.
I call this painting " on golden ponds " and in the next few months I'm working on the WI Duck Stamp Competition which allows artists to paint the trumpeter swan waterbirds. I hope you enjoy.

" a mom's devotion"
Today is a happy EASTER MORNING...we thank the Lord for his unfailing love and devotion to his people in all the lands near and far.

WE pray for a healing and an outpouring of love, we pray for our nation and we pray for God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Today's bird is a canada goose eating by the water in the early morning.

Happy Easter.
With love,

Jimmy Springett-artist
